Thinking about becoming a Junior Mentor someday?
Then Surfari Crew is for you.
You’ll help to plan and lead our Surfari events—fun, youth-led gatherings that keep our surf ‘ohana connected. You’ll work side-by-side with current Junior Mentors and staff, build real-world leadership skills, and take the first step toward becoming a Junior Mentor.
Crew members who show strong follow-through, collaboration, and commitment may be invited to join the Junior Mentor team and take on more responsibility within SSS.

Surfari Events with Surfrider Spirit Sessions
Our Surfari events are open to all past and present mentees and mentors (aka anyone who has been part of our Surf Ohana since 2006)! All Surfari events are developed by our Junior Mentors with support from our staff, include a community service or give-back component, and help us to stay engaged and connected. We host 5-12 events that result in 40-120 connections per year.
